The Morning Nook was opened in 2020 by alumna Sophie Ma (Class of 2014), a trained barista who dreamed of creating a calm, welcoming corner of the city where people could slow down over a good cup of coffee. What began as a tiny takeaway counter has grown into a much-loved local spot.

Coffee is roasted in small batches by a local roaster, and everything from the croissants to the banana bread is baked fresh each morning. The all-day brunch menu includes favourites like avocado toast, fluffy ricotta pancakes, and a hearty breakfast bowl, with plenty of vegan and dairy-free options.

With free Wi-Fi, plenty of power sockets, and a quiet upstairs seating area, The Morning Nook is a popular spot for remote workers and students. It also hosts small community events, including monthly latte art workshops and a weekend book swap.
