Rolling Bao was started in 2021 by alumni Ethan Lee and Mia Kwok (Class of 2015), two friends who bonded over late-night snacks as students and always talked about starting a food business together. After testing recipes at weekend markets, they bought a second-hand truck, painted it sunshine yellow, and hit the road.

The menu is small but full of flavour: crispy pork belly bao, spicy fried chicken bao, a five-spice mushroom bao for vegetarians, and a sweet custard bao for dessert. Everything is made fresh daily, and the fillings change with seasonal specials that regulars love to chase.

You'll find Rolling Bao at food festivals, weekend markets, and business districts during weekday lunchtimes. The truck is also available to hire for private parties, corporate events, weddings, and alumni reunions.
